Our History

With over 20 years of business operations in the industry, ATEC has consistently offered top-of-the-line services professionally designed for highly specific client requirements. Over the span of two decades, the company has provided a wide array of world-renowned engineering and manufacturing expertise to its valued strategic partners.

It all started in 1987 when the Automated Technology Inc. (ATI) was established specifically for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly and was initially located at West Service Road in Parañaque City. At the time, the company’s operations peaked at 30,000 PCBs per month.

Over the years, ATEC has shifted towards the assembly of semiconductors and gradually phased out the PCB assembly. The company expanded its product portfolio to include Multi-Chip Modules (MCM), SMT, IRDA, Ceramic Packages, and Final Test capabilities. Through the succeeding years, it also included in its line-up several technologies such as Philips LGD, SOT 23, SAW Filter, TO220/D2PAK packages as well as QFN and low-pin QFP.

ATEC’s strong and unwavering commitment to providing the best quality products and services to its stakeholders is evidenced by the certifications it achieved overtime which include ISO9002, QML, and ISO/QS9000 certifications. The company has also secured its business qualifications in Accelerometers, Optoelectronics, and Pb-Free Electroplating Process. Its most recent achievement is its accreditation for Quality & Environmental Management Systems.

From its humble beginnings as a provider of Semiconductor Assembly and Test Services, ATEC has transformed into a strategic partner for contract manufacturing for the leading global semiconductor companies. Its diverse capabilities and expertise in manufacturing is now situated in its state-of-the-art headquarters in the Light Industry and Science Park in Laguna and is operating in a Special Export Processing Zone.
